Once again we are reminded of how beautiful Ecuador is and how fortunate we are to live here. In a recent article, Huffington Post included Ecuador as one of "17 Epic Places You Never Thought To Travel, But Should" .

Ecuador is a small country - not much larger than Colorado - but within its borders you can find spectacular beauty.

The rain forests of the Amazon headwaters teem with wildlife. The Andes mountains are awesome in their raw splendor. The western border of the country is studded with beautiful beaches. Then of course the Galapagos islands.... no more needs to be said about that.

Moving and living in Ecuador gives you the opportunity to sample all that this country has to offer, and you don't have to do it as a tourist. All of these wonderful destinations are a mere few hours apart by bus or car.

Here are just two of the kinds of places waiting for you in Ecuador. Crucita on the Pacific coast features cliffs overlooking the water from which the more adventuresome go paragliding on weekends. Baños in the central portion of the country hosts cool forests, waterfalls and virtually unlimited hiking experiences.
